FAQ.
We're going to pretend for a little while that this small cranny of the internet is important enough to have an FAQ, just to avoid any infuriating e-mails that may got shot in my direction. I've written up some questions I've been asked over the span of my site-managing career. If you're question has still gone unanswered, please feel free to contact me and I'll be sure to try and answer it for you!
Will you make me a layout/help me code something?
Straightforward answer to the general public so that I don't have to feel like a horrible person when you ask me in private: no. Unless you're going to pay me to do it, then we can talk! To be honest, there is a small handful of people in this world who I'm willing to design for for free, so I apologize I can't offer my help to everyone.
Can you host my website?
Right now I'm limiting hosting to people who I offer it to-- most of whom are friends, family, or people I know will treat the space I give them with the respect it deserves. No offense to any potential hostees, but with a few weird experiences under my belt already, I'd like to keep my space to myself and those who I know are qualified to use it correctly.
Can I use your graphics/HTML/CSS/etc?
I'd really prefer if you didn't, particularly with the graphics part! Most webdesigners dislike seeing their layouts blatantly slapped onto other websites like it was some free cookie-cutter template they offered up. It also isn't hard for me to find out if you've done it (or worse, direct linked it) so don't do it. I will (and have) replaced direct-linked images with horrible things, and I'll do it with a smile on my face and shoot the link to friends so we can jeer and laugh like 13 year old pranksters. If you're simply interested in seeing how I achieved a certain effect coding wise, feel free to dig through my disgustingly messy CSS. Just don't cut and paste the entire damn code!
Can we affiliate/exchange links?
Heck yeah! I love seeing other people's domains, and I'm always flattered to know people want to keep my link elsewhere. <3 I like to keep affiliation to friends that I know personally, but I'd be happy to link exchange with almost anyone, provided our websites house similar content.
